After-School & Breakfast Club

The Breakfast Club – to school, safe and calm

You can drop your children to the crèche for breakfast from 7.00 am. Children are then brought to school and later collected via our drop-off and pick-up facility.

We have three buses that we use to safely transfer children to and from our local schools. At present the schools served are Athgarvan, Newbridge Educate Together, St Conleth and Mary’s Primary School, Newbridge and Two Mile House, Killashee, Pipers Hill, Gael Scoil Chill Dara, and Gael Scoil Nás.

A key worker for each child

At the beginning of the school year parents are informed which member of staff has been assigned to be their child’s key worker. We found this system really works well for both parents and children.

A home from home

Busy Fingers’ After-school Club provides an environment where children can rest, play and have fun. After school, on arrival at the crèche, the children will receive a hot meal followed by a supervised homework session and tea later that evening.

Keeping you in the know

We pride ourselves on running a programme full of extra-curricular, age appropriate activities to support the developmental and personal needs of your child, while helping them to acquire new skills and improve co-ordination and team skills. A weekly email is sent to all the parents with a detailed weekly plan.

Our range of frequently changing activities includes indoor pursuits such as arts and crafts, music, reading, cooking and computers, while outdoor activities include football and games in our secure, enclosed play areas, weekly swimming at the Gables Leisure Centre, a coaching session at the local GAA pitch, rugby skills, Zumba dancing and Irish dancing. We use our busy-bus to go on our off-site outings.

Recreation room and all-weather activity area

We are delighted to announce the building of a new recreation room for our After-school Club and an all-weather synthetic grass area with a mini-golf course and a cycling track.  We are certain there will be plenty of happy faces when the kids see their new playground!
